UH professional Art Galleries

Critically acclaimed University of Hertfordshire Galleries (UH Galleries) are among the most innovative contemporary art spaces in the UK. With two dynamic galleries in St Albans and Hatfield – UH Galleries presents international contemporary art to the community and wider audiences, in traditional and sometimes challenging ways.

The Hertfordshire Open Exhibition
The Hertfordshire Open Exhibition has marked itself out over the last ten years as the definitive annual showcase for local artistic talent and last year over one hundred artists from across Hertfordshire submitted work. The first prize of a solo exhibition with UH Galleries, as well as other prizes, represents a substantial investment in the artistic life of Hertfordshire’s wider artistic community.

UH Galleries are proud to work with UHRecordings on the UHRecordings Prize. The prize allows the artist to gain significant international exposure through the opportunity to have their work used on the front cover of an album and CD booklet. Previous winners include: Anton Pask featured on the Peter O'Hagan - Chasing Boundaries disk and Brain Tutt featured on an upcoming release.
